Paul expresses unceasing anguish for his people, the children of Israel, that they would know their Messiah. They had received everything from God to bring them to the knowledge and acceptance of Jesus (Yeshua). But the children of Israel chose what God had given over God himself. Paul expressed his anguish and heart desire for the salvation of the Jewish people so that non-Jewish people would also pray for and desire the same.
