Paul’s letter to the believers in Rome culminates in the same way that the gospel culminates: in a message of hope. God’s plan of salvation for all humanity culminates in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Everything that happens on earth between Resurrection Sunday and the second coming of Jesus is merely the consequence of what Jesus accomplished during his earthly ministry. Our past, present, and future hope of salvation are all possible because Jesus rose from the dead!
