Just as Paul uses the example of physical slavery to explain becoming slaves of Christ, he uses the example of marriage to explain that we are no longer bound to the law. Instead, we are now willingly bound to Christ because we died to sin and the law. Rather than limiting us, the law of God enables and equips us to fulfill the mission of the Church to love God, love people, and make disciples.
