Romans 8 begins with the glorious declaration that because of what Christ has done, there is now no condemnation (legal consequence of sin) for those who are in Christ Jesus! Sin is no longer about breaking the rules of God. It is about breaking the relationship with God. Maintaining the relationship with the Lord means that we live according to the Spirit rather than living according to the flesh. Those who live according to the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
