When we turn from our wicked ways, when we are baptized as the pledge of a clear conscience… and yet suffer in the body, we are encouraged to “arm” ourselves to have the same attitude as Christ Jesus who also suffered in the body and was yet without sin. As a result, we do not live the rest of our earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God.
