The story of Ruth closes with Boaz redeeming Naomi’s property, marrying Ruth, and the Lord enabling Ruth to conceive and give birth to a son named Obed, who became the father of Jesse, and Jesse the father of David. The generations that followed were part of the grander story of the Lord’s plan of salvation for all humanity.
