Our salvation, the restoration of our relationship with God by faith through the sacrificial atonement of Jesus Christ, was not only foreknown, it was also foretold. The prophets of old communicated what they received from the Lord even though they could not understand all the details and the timing of what was to come. The prophets spoke for our benefit.
