The veil of unbelief that covers our hearts prevents us from understanding and receiving the Word of God. But as verse 16 confidently asserts, “whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.” Jesus can remove the veil because all the fullness of the deity lives in bodily form in him (Colossians 2:9-10). And when the veil is removed, we behold the glory of the Lord!
