Public tongues must be accompanied with interpretation so that the message is clearly understood. Prophecy must be by the Holy Spirit so that the message from the Lord for the people benefits the hearers. Rather than shying away from desiring and exercising spiritual gifts, we need to pray for tongues with interpretation and prophecy.
