The behavior of at least some of the Corinthians when participating in the Lord’s Supper resulted in division and discrimination. Paul points out that the Lord’s Supper is meant to be a communal fellowship where everyone partakes together in the bread and the cup in remembrance of what Christ had done. We must remember the truth and, most importantly, take action.
