In Luke 18:1-17 Jesus continues to focus on the kingdom of God by emphasizing prayer. More specifically, Jesus teaches us that persisting in prayer, praying without any self-righteousness, and praying or talking to God as a little child are vitally important to enter into and then live in the kingdom of God. Persisting in prayer is to pray for true justice, to pray with faith, to pray with humility, to approach God boldly because of his imparted righteousness, and to petition our heavenly father just as a little child would petition their earthly father. Persisting in prayer is to pray without ceasing until we receive God’s response.
