The devil’s scheme is to trap us into living in offense versus living in love and forgiveness. As Matthew 24:10-12 makes clear, offense leads to turning away from the faith, betraying and hating each other, and ultimately letting love for one another grow cold. When we are offended, instead of building walls of self-protection and self-justification, we must open the door of our hearts to the Lord, experience his love and forgiveness, and then extend the same to others.
