Don't Call Anyone Impure or Unclean

An angel appeared to Cornelius and asked him to send for Peter. When Cornelius’ emissaries arrived at the house in Joppa where Peter was staying, Peter who had just seen a vision from the Lord was instructed by the Holy Spirit to go with the men. The vision, Peter’s initial reaction to it, and the subsequent events at Cornelius’ home in Caesarea provide a very important lesson in dealing with our mindsets about people. Peter’s mindset, formed by his ardent adherence to the very laws of God, had to be transformed as God showed him that he should not call anyone impure or unclean.
