Here is the song for this coming Sunday:
As you discuss this with your students, ask these questions:
What does it mean to be on guard? What are we guarding? What are we guarding against?
How do we "stand firm?"
What is "the faith"?
What is true bravery? Does it mean we aren't afraid?
What is true strength? How can we get stronger in our faith?
As I read this verse, I see a reverse sequence. When I am strong, it's easier to be brave because I have confidence in that strength. With strength and bravery, I have a greater ability to stand firm, and that makes me a better guard!
